Fakhro pointed to US spot ETF inflows over five days into 7 August representing the strongest stretch since May, and to third-quarter net inflows standing against substantial outflows in the second half of Q2 — evidence, in his reading, that institutional selling had flipped to buying. He set this against spot volumes at two-and-a-half-year lows, perpetual volumes at three-year lows and volatility near multi-year troughs, arguing that fresh demand arriving into a thin tape is characteristic of how durable bottoms form.
